Micro 3D Computer Tomography (µ-CT)

X-Ray 3D computer micro tomography (µ-CT) is a radiographic, non-destructive method for characterizing work piece details in three dimensions. A CT scanner generates a series of X-ray absorption measurements, which can then be used to reconstruct a 3D image of the object being analyzed. Microtomography can thus be used to non-destructively to inspect structural components for potential defects. It can additionally be used for the 3D geometric measurement of structural components.
