M.A.S… was founded in 1997 by Dr Swen Maas as a spin-off of the University of Freiburg. Since then, the company has developed successfully, and new business segments were added over the years. While in the beginning the focus was mainly on contract analyses in light and electron microscopy, today the preparation of reference standards for the visual inspection of parenteral pharmaceuticals is the main business area of M.A.S\u2026<\/p>\n

Dr Swen Maas studied chemistry in Freiburg, specializing in macromolecular chemistry. His professional interests include the morphological characterization of polymeric materials using various microscopy techniques, application development for the image analysis program analySIS and the creation of standard test kits for the pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>\n

Antje Heiberger studied pharmacy at the universities of Heidelberg and Freiburg. After her studies, she focused on pharmaceutical production, the galenic as well as biotechnological manufacturing of drugs with all its aspects such as GMP, documentation and training. She acquired additional expertise in the field of patient-specific blistering of pharmaceuticals and has laboratory experience in the field of immunology.<\/p>\n
